You can request an urgent appointment for today (Monday to Friday) during opening times.

We will triage your online requests within 2 working hours.

Routine appointments

You can request a routine appointment in advance during opening times.

We will respond to requests within 5 working days.

Requesting an appointment online

For patients with internet access we are encouraging every request for an appointment to be made using our website.

The benefits of accessing in this way are:

  • No waiting on the telephone
  • Requests will be received and responded to quickly
  • We can appoint you with the correct clinician for your problem
  • GP’s can handle workload more efficiently and release time to see patients
  • Tests can be arranged prior to your appointment to make the most of your consultation
  • Patients with complex health care needs can have longer appointments
  • Improves continuity for patients with their own GPs
  • Enables receptionists to help patients in the surgery and those without the internet

Please try to use this service, your feedback will help us be successful in improving access for patients and managing workload for the clinicians. If you do not have the internet access please phone the surgery and the receptionist will complete the process for you.

We also provide pre-bookable routine appointments, same day appointments for more urgent problems and telephone consultations.

Appointment types available

We provide the following appointments:

Doctor appointments

For complex medical care.

Emergency care practitioners and nurse practitioner appointments

For minor illness and first presentations.

Nurse appointments

For annual reviews of long term conditions, contraception, travel vaccinations, complex dressings and childhood vaccinations.

Healthcare assistants appointments

For dressings, health checks and procedures such as ear syringing, vaccinations.

Pharmacist appointments

 For medication related problems.

Social prescribing appointments

 For problems affecting your wellbeing.

Extended hours appointments

Extended hours are on a Saturday 8:30am to 5pm for pre-booked appointments.

Other appointments
  • Blood pressure appointments, please use the blood pressure machine at any time convenient to you and give the readings to reception who will pass them on to your doctor.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

We increasingly rely on texts to your mobile phone to remind you of appointments and emails for communicating with patients, please ensure you keep your details updated.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs
